Hafeez Times: January

February is here and i am ecstatic!  January was a very full month for us but it was full of exciting and encouraging things.  Would you like to hear about them?  Well lets go on a visual tour:

On the first day of the year we were in New Orleans and had just finished a conference and where headed home but not before stopping by Cafe' Du Monde for some beignets!

Next we headed back to MS (where i’m from) and spent time with my family.  It was my Mom’s birthday on the 4th so i made her my famous chocolate cake and got her that cool owl sweater that’s she’s wearing!

On the way home we stopped to see friends along the way and had an encouraging time.  My guys had their not so happy (the littlest guy being calmed by daddy after a “i’m ready to get up out this car crying fit”) and happy  (my lil guy hanging in there with crayons and activity books) moments during the drive.

We finally arrived home and had the luxury of being there for an astounding 1 week before we were back on the road headed to Orlando with the whole family for work.  That reminds me – i’ve not written at all about what we do.  As brief as i can put it – My husband and I work for a nonprofit ministry that takes the truth of Jesus Christ to the campus, community and world by producing leaders of African descent who are spiritually focused, financially responsible and morally fit. I will write about it more soon but until then you can visit the website by clicking here if you want to know more now.

Ok, so we were in Orlando because our ministry was having a recruiting conference and we were going through some training for our upcoming summer mission (more on that later also – there is so much about me you may not know yet – gonna have to fix that)

Here are a few pics from that time!
